After May's program on badge ideas, June we had a competition for the best badge, voted by attending members.
The prize was a cup filled with chocolate.
Also in June Carolinas Regional Seminar "Stitching on the Ridge" was held at Ridgeway in Western North Carolina.
Three classes were offered; one was "Stitching with Overdyed Thread". The class began Friday night with the students dying a number of hanks of floss.
Saturday morning, we learned techniques embroider with the overdyed threads.
Saturday afternoon was more dying and Sunday morning was additional embroidery techniques.
Other activities included an ice cream social, a trip to Hendersonville to see the National EGA traveling exhibit, shopping in the bookstore, merchandise night, teacup auction/opportunity baskets and lots of stitch time.
Additional pictures from the seminar on the EGA Carolinas website.
